Greetings

hello all – with all that’s happened in the last few weeks, I can’t keep up with posting and visiting all my favorite blogging friends. So occasionally I’ll be back. My recovery is going well. I start chemo and radiation in two weeks to blast away the remaining brain tumor…99% was removed in surgery. I continue to be optimistic and hopeful. I have a great team of doctors who are also hopeful.

I finally got out the watercolors this morning and dabbled a bit.

Good morning

Thank you every one for the well wishes and comments concerning my brain surgery. I’m thrilled to say I am doing remarkably well. This coming Wednesday I will be finding out the pathology of my tumor and then in to chemo and radiation. I finally made a drawing yesterday. I have to eat a snack every couple of hours because of a powerful seizure med I’m taking.  So drawing snacks was right in front of me. Have a beautiful Sunday.

To my creative friends

Dear creative friends, Last week I came to a bump in the road that really rocked my world. I found out I had a brain tumor. I had surgery last Wednesday and the neurologist tells me he was able to remove 99% of the tumor located on the back right side of my brain . In about 3 weeks I will start either chemo, radiation or both. I find out the pathology next Wednesday and the exact treatment. I’ve been home now for a week in recovery and I’m doing amazingly well. I’m using a walker to help me get around. Yesterday I made a little drawing for the first time which made quite happy. My spirits are good, I’m surrounded by family and friends helping and cheering me on. I’m feeling optimistic.

I’m hoping very soon I can start posting again  and join in with all of the creative fun. I always appreciate all of the wonderful comments and inspiration.

Best to you all and I’ll be back soon and keep you posted on my progress.

Sharon

Treats

Today is Treats for #worldwatercolormonth

One of my favorite treats is a warm, just out of the oven,  chocolate chip cookie. I wish I had one right now!

6″ x 6″ watercolor

Splash of Color Collage

Splash of Color #worldwatercolormonth

This morning I splashed some watercolor paint and I didn’t really like it much and I was going to try again, but,  I decided on another creative direction….to cut the art in strips and rearrange them.

Have a great Saturday! Rearrange things if you have to!

Clouds

I love to watch the clouds move across the sky on a summer day. Today’s #worldwatercolormonth prompt is Clouds.

Here are two from my practice sessions using a paper towel to absorb the watercolor paint to develop the clouds.
