Dear creative friends, Last week I came to a bump in the road that really rocked my world. I found out I had a brain tumor. I had surgery last Wednesday and the neurologist tells me he was able to remove 99% of the tumor located on the back right side of my brain . In about 3 weeks I will start either chemo, radiation or both. I find out the pathology next Wednesday and the exact treatment. I’ve been home now for a week in recovery and I’m doing amazingly well. I’m using a walker to help me get around. Yesterday I made a little drawing for the first time which made quite happy. My spirits are good, I’m surrounded by family and friends helping and cheering me on. I’m feeling optimistic.
I’m hoping very soon I can start posting again and join in with all of the creative fun. I always appreciate all of the wonderful comments and inspiration.
Best to you all and I’ll be back soon and keep you posted on my progress.
Sharon
Thinking of you and hoping your recover is quick and successful. Look forward to seeing more of your artworks when you are ready, meanwhile take care of yourself.

Oh, my dear Sharon!
You poor lamb! What awful things life can suddenly throw at us!
You do sound remarkably positive though – my best wishes to you, and if it doesn’t sound too trite – get well soon! – I’m sure you will!

Oh Sharon, I am so glad you shared with us your situation, the current status, and your next steps. I have you in my prayers. Our friend, Gloria Wilson in southern CA is undergoing treatment now for a brain tumor … but it had metastasized and it was also in her lungs, esophagus, lymph nodes, etc. Surgery was not an option. She keeps her family and friends posted of her progress on a site called “Caring Bridge.” Are you familiar with it? You should go to Gloria’s FB page and ask to “friend” her. Her treatment is in pill form and the last report showed 80% shrinkage! The “Big C” no longer has to be a death sentence. Isn’t the progress of medical science Marvelous? God bless you and keep you and May your years be long and continued creatively! 🙏🏽❤️

I am sorry to hear this, but so glad the tumor was found, and so much could be removed! Earlier this year I was in a rotation to drive one of my friends for her radiation each week, after she had a brain tumor that was impacting her speech and memory. She is doing fine now and I hope all will go well for you too!

Thank for your positive comment. I’m very fortunate to be up walking with very few side effects. Just a bit of speech to add some comedy to the day.
